Great food, very affordable and quick service. I wish the portions were much bigger because I could not get enough of the curry. Will definitely be back soon!

Nice little cosy place which sells great food. I went there around lunch, it was busy, but I managed to get four seats. The service was great like the food. It’s definitely worth checking it out. Oh yes, I will be going back.

This place was mega busy with a 25 min wait on a Thursday evening which shows its popularity! The food arrived within 3/4 minutes and was SO delicious. Lovely staff too and reasonable prices. Will be returning for sure! Thank you

Roti King is an absolute gem in the heart of London, serving up some of the best Malaysian food you can find. From the moment you step in, the rich aroma of freshly made roti and fragrant curries fills the air, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The food is nothing short of phenomenal. Their signature roti canai is perfectly flaky, buttery, and pairs beautifully with the rich, flavorful curries. The beef rendang is tender and packed with deep, aromatic spices, while the nasi lemak delivers the perfect balance of coconut-infused rice, crispy anchovies, and spicy sambal. Each dish feels authentic, fresh, and made with care. Beyond the incredible food, the service at Roti King is top-notch. The staff are friendly, efficient, and always ready to accommodate. Despite the small and often busy space, the team ensures quick service without compromising quality. If you're craving authentic Malaysian cuisine in London, Roti King is an absolute must-visit. Be prepared to queue during peak hours—it’s worth every minute!

We were a group of seven dining at Roti King Waterloo — my family of four, plus our friend, her husband, and their son from the UK who were showing us around. Her husband discovered this place thanks to the excellent Google reviews, and now we know exactly why it’s so highly rated. When we arrived, the place was packed, and we had to wait about 15 minutes to get seated. The host was fantastic — very efficient and kind. Even though the restaurant was about to close soon (he never directly told us this), he proactively asked if he could take our orders while we waited, which was very thoughtful. There was a funny moment when my husband tried to sneakily pay for the dinner early, but the host caught on and quietly passed the card reader over to our friend, whispering that he was trying to pay. We tried to insist on paying, but it didn’t work — a lovely gesture we appreciated. For the kids, we ordered three portions of mee goreng, fried chicken, and two sides of roti to share. The husbands went for beef rendang and roti canai with mutton, paired with Buddha beers. My friend and I ordered beef rendang, mee goreng, and nasi goreng to share. When the nasi goreng arrived, we realized it had shrimp, which was a problem because my friend has a severe shellfish allergy. Thankfully, the generous server immediately offered to take it back and remake it with chicken. He also let us know the mee goreng had shrimp too, so we switched that for char kway teow instead. We loved how considerate and attentive they were about our needs. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. My friend and I devoured our meals, and the husbands loved theirs as well. My husband was so impressed he insisted it was “heaven” and ordered two more rotis. Our older daughter, who normally avoids spicy food, couldn’t stop dipping roti into her dad’s mutton curry — she polished it off happily. Several different servers checked on us multiple times throughout the meal, making sure we were well taken care of. It’s clear why this place is always busy — excellent food, exceptional service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Having just returned from Malaysia in December, the flavors reminded me so much of authentic Malaysian cuisine. If you’re in the area and craving fantastic Malaysian food with friendly staff and great vibes, Roti King Waterloo is a must-visit.

I visited this restaurant on Sunday evening and was lucky enough to not have to queue (since they do not taking bookings). The food was of exceptional quality and very flavourful. We ordered a variety of dishes and all of them were delicious from the chicken roti canai to the spinach and cheese murtabak to the planta and haya dessert roti. The price of the food is also very reasonable and to top it off they do a milo drink as well which is a delicious accompaniment to the food!

Love the food. Authentic and tasty. Comfort food. We ordered Kway Teow with prawns and chicken, Nasi Lemak and the vegetarian redang that was made with mushrooms. It was delicious and the vegetarian redang was so good.. you won’t believe it’s made of mushrooms.. like beef! And a portion of roti and lentils. We want to ordered everything on the menu. Brought back happy memories when I was with family in Malaysia. Great vibe. Super friendly staff.
